About

Věra Leininger perso-picis a painting historian and a scriptwriter, born in Prague and residing currently in Germany. She studied and taught at the universities in Germany, wrote a book on the history of Jews in Bohemia in the 19th century and has a passion for Asian cultures. She worked nine years in Singapore in film and visual arts, and her paintings were exhibited in the Jet Quay Lounge of the Singapore Airport, Esplanade or Bollywoodveggies Museum, among other; she also creates large-scale murals and backdrops for theatre. Her oil and acrylic paintings show multiple techniques in the style of expressive surrealism and can be found in private collections all over the world. Currently she has an exhibition in the new synagogue in Liberec, and participates at the Atelier Art Festival in Prague.
